There is no doubt that having new windows installed is a big project for your home. For many, it’s and undertaking that can feel downright intimidating. At WinChoice USA, we totally understand. After all, no one really wants to spend the money on this type of upkeep for their home. It’s the things like new roofs, water heaters, air conditioners, and windows that aren’t exactly easy to get excited about.
The truth, however, is that once you’ve replaced the things in your home that are outdated or aren’t working properly anymore, you often realize that it was money well spent. When it comes right down to it, these are the things that keep your home feeling comfortable and cozy. It’s not like you can simply let water come in through the roof, take cold showers every day, or deal with drafts coming in through the windows and driving your electricity bill through the roof.
Like we said, they’re repairs that aren’t often fun or exciting, but they are necessary. The good news is that at WinChoice USA, our team of window installers understands the situation that you’re in, and that’s why we’ll go above and beyond to make your life just a little bit easier even when things feel stressful. Keep reading to learn more about what you can expect from us or contact us today to get a free estimate!
THE TEAM AT WINCHOICE USA IS…
First and foremost, you can expect the people that you deal with from our company to be friendly. It’s not something that anyone particularly wants to do and we realize that.
That’s why we’ll make the entire process of getting an estimate one that goes as smoothly for you as possible. We’ll work with you to find a time that works for us to come by and we’ll get to work. Once we’ve taken a look, we’ll give you an estimate and a copy of our limited lifetime warranty. From there, you can feel free to ask any questions you may have because we’d be happy to give you some answers. Once that’s taken care of, we’ll leave you to make your decision. You won’t find any pushy salespeople at WinChoice USA because we don’t like to be pushed around when we make decisions like the one you’re making. Instead, we’ll give you the facts, make sure you have our contact info, and wait for your call. It’s as easy as that.

Whereas others will make up problems that your windows have, artificially inflating the cost in the process, that’s not how we do things. If we see an issue that you’re not aware of, sure, we’ll let you know about it. But what we won’t do is try to scare you into working with us.
In short, you can always count on us to be upfront with you and then to stand by what we do. It’s that same attitude that led us to create our unbeatable limited lifetime warranty. We believe that honesty is what drives us to lead our industry. We utilize quality products that are made here in the United States because we only want the best for our customers.

In today’s blog post, we will be discussing what you should look for when shopping for new windows, as well as some of the important qualities that matter most in a home window replacement. Continue reading to learn more.
Qualities That You Should Look for in Home Window Replacements
Below, we have listed a few of the qualities that you should look for in your home window replacements, as well as the company helping you find the proper replacements.
When you are spending the money to replace the windows in your home, it makes sense to look for windows that will provide you the greatest value — and there is no better way to do so than to buy energy-efficient windows. Energy-efficient windows can retain 25–35% of your home’s heat in the winter and cool air during the summer.
By purchasing energy-efficient windows that have high-quality insulation, you can protect your home’s envelope — better known as the interior of your home and attic — from losing heat and cooled air. In doing so, your heating and cooling systems will not have to work as hard to maintain the temperature in your home, thus saving you money on your monthly utility bills.
At WinChoice USA, we manufacture all of our windows using WinChoice USA® INSULATED GLASS SYSTEM. Our energy-efficient, insulated glass is specially designed to keep your home from losing heat in the winter and cool air during the summer.
If you own an older home, it is more than likely that your current windows were manufactured using a wooden frame. While wooden frames are strong, they require quite a bit of maintenance — requiring you to strip them and repaint them every couple of years to ensure that cracking, warping, and rot do not develop.
If you are shopping for home window replacements, we strongly recommend that you look for a window that is manufactured using maintenance-free vinyl construction. Vinyl is extra durable and does not require maintenance every couple of years as wooden windows do.
At WinChoice USA, all of our replacement windows are manufactured using our WinChoice USA® VINYL COMPOUND — an extra-durable compound that is built with the intention of lasting for years on end without needing even the simplest of maintenance.
When shopping around for home window replacements that you can rest assured that will last you a lifetime, it is easy to get caught up in the specifications of the window. That said, if you are purchasing replacement windows for your home that you intend on keeping around for the long-haul, you also want to consider the aesthetic value that the home replacement window brings to the table — after all, if the windows are going to last forever, you want to make sure that you like the way that they look.
At WinChoice USA, we manufacture a wide selection of high-quality windows that are paired perfectly with aesthetics that are sure to compliment your home. To view our wide selection of windows, we urge you to check out our window gallery.
The last, but certainly not least, thing that you should consider when shopping for home window replacements is the value of your purchase. Home window replacement costs can vary greatly depending on the number of windows that you plan to purchase, the size of the windows that you plan to purchase, and the company that you choose to purchase them from. In order to find the best value, be sure to request local window companies to provide you with an accurate quote.
At WinChoice USA, we go out of our way to foster the best customer experience for each and every one of our customers — and the greatest way that we can do that is to be 100% transparent about the quality of our windows and the estimates that we provide to our customers. If you would like a free home window replacement estimate, we urge you to get in touch with us to request an estimate today.
What to Look for in a Home Window Replacement Company

At WinChoice USA, we manufacture, sell, and install all of our windows — ensuring you that there is no middleman process and that all of your windows will be installed in compliance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
On top of that, we also offer a Limited Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty — because we are 100% confident in the value, efficiency, and durability of our windows.

As a homeowner, you never want to have to worry about the quality of work a contractor has done on your home. That said, like any industry, there are good contractors and bad contractors — and you can’t always assume that they will get the job done right.
Because there are less-than-qualified contractors out there, it is important to thoroughly research a contracting company before you decide that they are the right team to complete your home renovations. Sadly, some people forget to do their research and end up having under-qualified contractors work on their home projects — only to find that something was messed up during the renovation or installation process.
Window Installation Contractors
When it comes to window installation, the process is incredibly easy to mess up if you are not qualified — and when you have an under-qualified contractor install your windows, you will know it sooner than later.
At WinChoice USA, we sell, manufacture, and install all of our windows. Why? Well, not only do we want to make sure that you find the perfect windows for your home, but we also want to make sure that they are installed correctly.
Because we understand that there are homeowners in the Southwestern United States that may suspect that they had an under-qualified contractor install their windows, we thought that we might discuss a few of the warning signs of improperly installed windows. If you notice that your windows have any of the following issues or warning signs, be sure to contact us today to discuss window repairs or replacements!
Signs That Your Windows Were Not Installed Correctly
Below, we have listed a few of the most common signs that your windows were not properly installed. If you notice any of the following issues with your windows, be sure to submit an inquiry to the installer and manufacturer of your windows about your warranty information.
A window is meant to separate the indoors from the great outdoors. That said, if you see a visible gap between the frame and the glass or the window frame and the wooden studs, it is more than likely that air and moisture are able to pass through. Visible gaps can occur when a window contractor does not make proper measurements prior to installing the window.
Spike in Utility Bills
One of the most common signs that a window has been installed incorrectly is when you notice a sharp spike in your utility costs for seemingly no reason. If your windows have been installed within the last couple of years, there is no reason that there should be a spike in utility costs — unless there is a draft that is allowing your heating or cooling energy to escape your home. If your utilities spiked after the windows were installed, it is more than likely that they were not installed correctly.
Signs of Leaks or Water Damage
While a draft can cause your utility bills to spike, a seal that can’t keep water or condensation out of your home can cause serious physical damage to your home. If humid air is allowed to pass through the window (whether it be between the frame or the panes) condensation can build over time causing mold and rot that can damage the window or wall’s wooden components. If you see any sign of water damage or condensation, you should consider exploring your window repair and replacement options right away.
Window Sashes Do Not Move Freely
The window sash is the part of the window that holds the glass in place within the frame. There are many different types of windows with moving sashes, with some opening outwards, upwards, or downwards. If the movement of the sash is restricted, it is a sign that the window was not properly installed, as the frame is off-angle and restricting your ability to move the sash efficiently. Luckily, it might be possible for the window to be repaired rather than replaced.
There Was Never a Warranty
If you were never provided with a warranty after your windows were installed, it is a good sign that your windows were not professionally installed. Almost all windows come with a manufacturer’s warranty that is only honored if the windows were installed by a professional window contractor.
Caulking is essentially the finishing touch for any window installation project. The caulking is the first defense for the window, creating a barrier between the newly installed window and the studs of the wall. If the caulking is messy, it is a good sign that the team responsible for installing your windows was not qualified to do so. If something as simple as the caulking is messed up, it is more than likely that other, more important steps were neglected.
Stains on the Glass
While a simple little stain on the glass might not have an effect on the efficiency or the functionality of your window, it does speak to the professionalism of the team that installed them. If you notice multiple stains on the glass, get in touch with the company that installed them to have them come and inspect your windows for other issues.
What Do I Do If I Notice One or More of the Issues Listed Above?
At WinChoice USA, we offer the premier window shopping, purchasing, and installation experience in the Southeastern United States — and we want to help you avoid working with under-qualified window installers. However, if you have worked with an under-qualified window installer, we can still help!
At WinChoice USA, the premier Top Rated National® window manufacturer and window installer in the Southeastern United States, we understand just how stressful that shopping for new windows can be. After all, if you need one window replaced, you are most likely considering having all of them replaced — and that can get expensive.
Like any expensive home renovation, there are many things that you need to consider when shopping for new windows. What style do you want? What features do you need? Do you want them to open sideways, downwards, upside-down, or outward? Do you have a specific color frame in mind? Do you need heavily insulated windows? All of these questions and more need to be answered before you settle on a decision.
While you are shopping for new windows there are countless things to consider — but at WinChoice USA, we make shopping for windows easier and more enjoyable. Join us in today’s blog as we discuss a few things that you should consider when shopping for new windows, as well as how our team can help you do so.
Some of the reasons that you might be looking for replacement windows are:
To replace outdated windows
Because you are replacing inefficient windows
You want increased airflow in your home
To increase the aesthetic value of your home
If the design is your primary concern, you might want to consider:
How the new windows could enhance the lighting in your home
If the windows could help you take advantage of nice views
How the windows could better match your home’s style
If the windows could help increase your in-home privacy
How Do You Want the Windows Replaced?
Once you have considered how the new windows could benefit your home, it is important that you consider what method of window replacement is the best for your home’s aesthetics and your budget. When you are replacing windows, there are a couple of ways that you can do so. You can either “retrofit” or completely install new windows in the following ways:
Sash Installation – Sash installations are commonly used when parts of the window are no longer functioning but the framework of the window is still in operational condition. Essentially, a sash installation is the removal and replacements of all of the moving parts while leaving the functional window frame intact. For example, on a double sliding window, the two sliding panes are the only parts that are replaced.
Insert Installation – An insert installation is when you take a completely new window and install it within the functional frame of the existing window. While this is a great way to install a new window with minimal work, an insert must be small enough to fit inside of the old window frame — meaning that the surface of the glass will be smaller than it was for the previous window.
Full Frame – At WinChoice USA, we always recommend that you choose to install full-frame windows. Why? Because our concerns are efficiency, quality, and longevity. By installing a full-frame, you will get a newer, more efficient window, a higher-quality seal, and a higher likelihood that the window will last its an entire anticipated lifetime.
If you are ready to start looking at new windows, we urge you to come to visit us at WinChoice USA. As a manufacturer, seller, and installer of new windows, we will work with you every step of the way. Check out our inventory of windows today!
So you need new windows and you’ve come to see the window installation professionals at WinChoice USA. As the premier window manufacturer, seller, and installer in the Southeastern United States, we are happy that you have chosen to do business with us.
That said, when you come to see us at one of our ten locations we will have one question for you before we even begin to look at our various window options — Are you replacing old windows or looking for windows for new construction?
Believe it or not, most people think that all windows are the same. Sure, it is a piece of glass that draws the line between the indoors and the outdoors, but there are plenty of different window styles, capabilities, and uses that differentiate one window from another.
The Two Main Types of Windows
As we said above, when you stop by one of our showrooms, a member of our team will ask you if you are shopping for replacement windows or windows for new construction. But what makes these two types of windows different? Continue reading to learn more.
New Construction Windows
If you are building a new home or building an addition on your home, new construction windows are the perfect option for you. What sets new construction windows apart from replacement windows is the method in which the window installers will secure the window in place.
Featuring a nail fin frame, a new window is attached directly to the framing of the new home or addition. Because new construction windows are meant to attach directly to the frame, they are almost always installed when the new construction’s frame is fully exposed.
The Exception: While new construction windows are almost always used in new construction and the construction of new home additions, there is one other situation where a new construction window might be recommended by your window installers.
When an existing window on a home is in terrible shape, it almost always means that the materials immediately surrounding the window frame are also in poor condition. If that is the case, your window installers might suggest a new construction window.
When installing a new construction window as a replacement, the contractor will remove all of the damaged materials surrounding the window — exposing the framing of the wall where they will attach the nail fin frame.
If you are working on a home improvement project, it is more than likely that a member of our team will recommend that you shop our large selection of replacement windows — with the one exception being if your windows are in poor enough condition that the studs will have to be exposed before replacing them.
If the wall surrounding the window is in good condition, a replacement window is the best, most cost-effective option. Because the wall is in good condition, the window installers do not have to expose the studs and can instead simply remove the interior trim of the existing window and then install the replacement.
Where Can You Find New Construction Windows and Replacement Windows?
So now you know exactly what kind of windows you need — but where can you go to find them?
If you live in the Southeastern United States, we urge you to consider coming to visit us at one of our ten WinChoice USA locations. When you come to visit us, we will walk you through our various window options, the costs associated with purchasing new windows, as well as the installation process. But why should you choose WinChoice USA?
At WinChoice USA, we do something that other window manufacturers and window installers do not. Rather than selling you the windows and referring you to a local contractor, we will sell you the windows and then install them ourselves. Because nobody knows windows better than us and nobody knows our windows better than us. So why not make the experience easier on yourself by letting our experienced team take care of everything?
If you search “window installation near me” or any other similar query, the odds are that hundreds of window contractors in your area will pop up. So what does it matter which window installers you choose to complete your next window installation project?
At WinChoice USA, we believe that the difference between our company and others that claim to be the same is our unmatched emphasis on quality.
Like any other business that contracts home or business supplies, the quality of windows and the experience of the team who installs them are incredibly important. Windows are a large investment, and we believe that anyone who is willing to spend money on window renovations should be able to rest easy knowing that their money has gone to good use.
As window installation specialists who hold our windows to a higher standard, we saw it fit to explain why window quality and proper window installation are so incredibly important. Continue reading to learn more.
Why Does Window Quality Matter?
When you compare windows by price, you might notice an alarming gap in pricing. This price gap can usually be attributed to the quality of the materials that have been used to manufacture the windows. At WinChoice USA, we work tirelessly to close the cost gap, giving our customers efficient windows at an affordable cost. Our windows are:
Since the beginning of time, windows have had one major use — to keep the elements out of your home. Our windows have been manufactured to keep weather outside where it belongs. Paired with proper installation, WinChoice USA windows create a tight barrier, filling all unwanted cracks and gaps, making your new windows impenetrable by the elements.
As window technologies have been explored, it has been found that the traditional window is not very energy efficient because it allows hot and cold air to move freely between inside and outside. When a window allows air to pass through, it can make your furnace or air conditioner work harder to maintain the indoor air temperature that you desire.
Our windows, equipped with WinChoice USA® insulated glass system, are specially designed to retain indoor temperatures while keeping outdoor air to enter your home. And trust us when we say that you will see the difference on the energy bill.
One of the leading causes of window replacement in the United States is condensation. When a window is not properly manufactured, improperly installed, or simply out of date, condensation can build up in the frame and surrounding studs, eventually leading to rot.
At WinChoice USA, our windows are made using high-quality materials and are held to rigorous standards, because if built right, a window will not accumulate considerable amounts of condensation.
For High-Quality Windows, Think WinChoice USA
As window installers, we know a thing or two about what it takes to be considered a high-quality window — and when you get your windows from us, you will see the difference. In fact, we are so confident in our windows that we offer a Limited Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty with all of our windows.
